GOTMAD @ Chilling 28 th April 2018 / Saturday Chillin’ at Chiling The second hike in the GOTMAD 10/6 Challenge is the Sungai Chiling waterfall trail. According to malaysia-traveller.com, this waterfall is Selangor’s most impressive. I’m not sure if “impressiveness” is an actual criterion used to rate the world’s waterfalls, but that should give you an idea that it’s quite cool. It’s 500 metres of gushing water, with plenty of friendly Mahseer/kelah fish. Note: you are not allowed to catch, BBQ, or sashimi the fish. I think someone must have tried to sashimi once (“Oh, but technically , it’s not BBQ.”) The waterfall is in the Sungai Chiling Fish Sanctuary in Kuala Kubu Baru. Mount Mat Chinchang Apart from Gunung Raya, Gunung Mat Cincang (there are many other spellings, but this is the least complicated) is one of Langkawi island’s tallest peaks, at 709 metres above sea level. It’s where the famous cable car is located, at the upper northwest side of the island. Both mountains are firmly rooted in island legend, a story of the ultimate ancient bromance. Once, there were these two giants, Mat Cincang and Mat Raya. They were the best of friends. Their kids got married to each other and at the wedding reception, these two dads got into a fight. They went all out and started throwing household items at each other.   During the fight, a pot of gravy fell, creating Kuah town. A bowl of hot water fell and created Ayer Panas, and a jar fell and smashed into pieces, where Belanga Pecah is today.
